For Memorial Day weekend Geoff, B, and I flew to Atlanta for a very special occasion -- the nuptials of my father-in-law, Dick and his beautiful bride, Diane. Geoff and I hadn't been to Atlanta together in years, so it was a much needed dual-purpose family vacation needed by all!
It was just one of those good-for-the-soul getaways full of family, love, and celebration - the perfect kind of combination! We were also able to meet Diane's side of the family for the first time, who were a delight to meet! Diane lives on this beautiful humongous lot just south of Atlanta, secluded from the noises of the outside world. It was so peaceful - the perfect ambiance to the weekend setting.
Saturday morning we drove up to Atlanta to meet my sister and her family for a few hours of play, but FIRST a detour to The Varsity was an obvious choice. After we 'fueled' ourselves for the day we headed downtown to the splash park at the Olympic Rings. The kids had a blast and we laughed our heads off while they found creative ways to cool off in the water. :)
Kissing cousins...just the sweetest! This will make a great slide show pic one day, thanks Hayes!
Stay tuned tomorrow for wedding bell bliss part 2!
Thanks for reading!
Lemons to Love,
